Charlie Burg at The Troubadour
Charlie Burg is a 25-year-old, Detroit born and raised RnB indie rock artist. In just a few years since graduating Syracuse University, he has managed to capture an international following, sign with FADER, and make a name for himself with praise from artists such as Ed Sheeren and Sam Smith.
I have had the pleasure of sharing a space in my life with Charlie before he made a name when he was practicing in his Michigan State dorm room (where he spent his sophomore year) and testing out sounds. Since then I have seen him perform three times, and each time he has drawn a bigger audience. This last time was in L.A. at The Troubadour April 28, a place that has a huge music history and a show that Charlie says was his favorite to date. The place was sold out, and the crowd knew every word. Charlie was in his comfort zone, and you could tell that, for him, this is only the beginning.
Burg’s last U.S. date for this tour is Tuesday, May 17, at The Bowery in New York. His next big run involves 13 European dates.
