Tribute Fusion Band Prince/Bowie Forms Once Again for Star-Studded Tour
Tribute fusion band Prince/Bowie, featuring a star-studded nucleus made of Pink Talking Fish bassist Eric Gould and guitarist Cal Kehoe along with the The Horn Section (former Turkuaz members Josh Schwartz, Greg Sanderson & Chris Brouwers), will be on the road this spring for a series dates in Colorado and the Northeast. Joining them for select performances will be a rotating cast of nationally-known musicians including percussionist Chuck Morris (Lotus), keyboardist Alric “AC” Carter (TAUK), drummer Adrian Tramontano (Kung Fu), and more.
Kicking off in Denver, CO on March 13, Prince/Bowie will feature the ensemble’s core members along with Morris and the remaining members of PTF (keyboardist Richard James and drummer Zack Burwick). The party continues St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) in Saratoga, NY with members of Pink Talking Fish, Tramontano, The Horn Section and saxophonist Matt Wayne (Bobby Deitch Band).
The band then lands in Norwalk, CT on April 29 and Beverly, MA on April 30. The lineup for both days includes Gould and Kehoe along with The Horn Section, Wayne, Carter, and drummer Mikey Carubba (Death Kings and formerly of Turkuaz).
Spearheaded by Gould, Prince/Bowie has already made waves at Catskill Chill Music Festival, Wanee (Pink Talking Fu Kuaz), Adirondack Independence Music Festival, and at a Phish After Party at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY.
