Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance Fall Festival

It’s that time again. Time to celebrate fall, cooler weather, amazing friends, beautiful festival grounds, and magnificent music — at Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance Fall Festival in Pittsboro, North Carolina, October 7 – 10. It’s beckoning. We know you can hear it.

You can probably hear that today (Sunday, October 3) is the last day to get tickets at advance prices. What are you waiting for already? A little convincing?

This schedule is so jam-packed with love and music, it’s simply bursting at the seams at four locations: Meadow Stage, Dance Tent, Carson’s Grove, and Cabaret Tent.

Thursday, October 7

We’ll let you easy into the weekend with a “light” schedule, music beginning at 4. The festivals anchors are again Donna the Buffalo, who make the first of (at least) five appearances. Also up, Empire Strikes Brass, Sam Fribush Organ Trio with Charlie Hunter, and half a dozen more.

Eat your Wheaties or something. Consider the Source, Roosevelt Collier, Electric Kif, New Planets, and Travers Brothership are just a slice of the day’s lineup, including kids’ yoga and Broccoli Brothers Circus. And, of course, Donna the Buffalo.

The final day features Lucas Ashby’s Brain Trust with Cyro Baptista, Driftwood, Bella’s Bartok, and more Sam Fribush with Charlie Hunter, for starters. There is also a double-shot of Donna the Buffalo: first, another zydeco blast, and then a Grassroots Allstar Jam with DTB & Friends.
