Marble Eyes Releases Debut Album ‘Return To The Roses’

Jam band supergroup Marble Eyes just issued their debut album Return To The Roses via Color Red Music, and it can only be described as “rock and roll for the soul.”  Born during the pandemic, Marble Eyes and their new, self-produced, 14-track record combine the songwriting and musical talents of Eric Gould (Pink Talking Fish), drummer Adrian Tramontano (Kung Fu), guitarist Mike Carter (The Indobox) and keyboardist Max Chase (Amulus).

Recorded at The Noise Floor in Dover, NH, Return To The Roses was mixed by Tim Walsh, mastered by Doug Krebs Mastering and captures the band’s desire to harness creativity in dark times. The album’s title and single of the same name were chosen because it was the first song that was realized by the New Hampshire collective during outdoor jam sessions spent six feet apart in the summer of 2020. The blend of instrumental energy with vocal harmony made it clear that there was something special happening. Take a listen to the single “Return To The Roses” below.

Two previously released tracks, “Tollbooth” and “You Can’t Fool Me,” appear on the record’s first half. “Tollbooth” evokes a modern, post-rock vibe that speaks about finding the strength to face the battles ahead but paying a toll in the process. “You Can’t Fool Me” is a pop/funk track that delves into the mystery of a relationship where no one knows who’s fooling whom. These and the remaining tunes on the album dive deeper into storytelling and different genres in the rock and roll realm.
