Dave Navarro, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Chaney Join Forces in New Band NHC

Longtime Jane’s Addiction bandmates Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney have joined up with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins to form a new side project band called NHC.  Along with the news of the band’s formation, they also announced the release of two new tunes from the alternative rock collective: “Feed The Cruel” and “Better Move On.”

The alternative rock titans are no strangers to working together. Hawkins and Chaney spent time together as a part of Alanis Morisette’s band in the mid-’90s. Chaney is a current member and bassist of Hawkins’ solo project Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, having joined that band in 2006.

The supercharged tune “Feed The Cruel,” with Hawkins on vocals, is pure intensity and fury with pounding drums and attitude. This new song is packed with amazing guitar riffs, solid musicianship, and overall amazing swagger. This song delivers.

“Better Move On” takes a different approach, dropping things down into a more exquisite listening experience that maintains the brilliance and dexterity with Chaney’s bass and Navarro’s melodic guitar riffs.

NHS is set to make their live debut next month on October 2 at Ohana Music Festival in Dana Pointe, California.
