Judas Priest Set to Rock Warlando Metal Fest on 9/11
Legendary metal rock gods Judas Priest are slated to make landfall on Saturday, September 11, at the inaugural Warlando Metal Fest at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando.
The massive one-day music festival will feature two hard-rocking stages and is headlined by English Grammy Award winning rockers Judas Priest along with a complete undercard of rock bands that will provide a steady, non-stop injection of heavy metal music. Set to take the Monster Energy stage are Judas Priest, Sabaton, Soulfly, Ill Nino, Uncured, Rising Up Angry, and Twin Void. Rocking the Front Line stage are Tommy Vext, The Convalescence, CUTTHROAT, Sworn Enemy, and Madzilla.
Originaly scheduled to perform at last years’ Rebel Rock in Orlando, the festival was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic paving the way for festival organizers to curate the Judas Priest headlining event. The Warlando stop will be the only Florida appearance for Judas Priest this year. Priest will be setting out on their 50th Anniversary North American tour starting on September 8 in Reading PA and closing out the stateside leg on October 31 in Lowell, MA.
One of the longest-tenured rock bands of all time, Judas Priest have been rocking the world since first forming in 1969. With founding member Ian Hill (bass) along with Rob Halford (lead vocals), Glenn Tipton (guitar), Scott Travis (drums), and Richie Faulkner (guitar), the band has sold in excess of 50 million albums.
VIP tickets are available. There will be food and along with plenty of alcohol and beer choices. Gates open at noon, with festival opener Madzilla taking the stage at 1:15 p.m. The festival will NOT require proof of vaccination or negative test.
