Suwannee Hulaween Lineup Additions!
The second round of artists for Suwannee Hulaween has been announced. This year’s sold-out event at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park October 28-31 is jam-packed with outstanding music across the widest swath of genres. You may recall the initial lineup announcement.
Also, a bazillion thanks to Justin Shafran for this revised lineup poster with the additions in color!
Topping the list of additions are park favorites Greensky Bluegrass and Jamaican-American jazz fusion/neo soul artist Masego. Returning are two great groups who’ve rocked the late-night shows: Jon Stickley Trio and The Grass is Dead. The Kyle Hollingsworth Band also returns (his other band is playing, too).
Of particular note will be a performance by The Original Nth Power with Nigel Hall (his other band is also playing). Mighty funksters The Fritz are back, and The Roosevelt Collier Band will be there, too. Nerf the World is a project with Chris Spies and Brooks Hubbert.
There is a shipload of EDM additions as well, with Deathpact, Evan Giia, Biicla, Mize, Astro, and Levitation Jones. Park favorites Booty Boo and Vlad the Inhaler will go B2B. There is livetronica with MZG and Rohan Solo, and Mark Farina is presenting his Mushroom Jazz project. For straight-up madness, catch Stick Martin and Jon Ditty hip hoppin’ and jammin’ and stuff.
Before we roll into the rock stuff, Sierra Hull, the excellent songwriter and guitar and mandolin player will add her bluegrass sensibilities to the show. And then there is Tire Fire, the outstanding group of musicians who regularly cross the Florida-Georgia line playing bluegrass, Americana, and whatever else they want.
There is some tremendous funk and rock on the way as well, starting with Funk You, Honey Island Swamp Band, and the mind-bending Dr. Bacon from Asheville. JGBCB is the Jerry Garcia Band Cover Band, and Honey Hounds just plain rock.
Florida truly represents with several of the very best the Sunshine State has to offer, including the cinematic prog rock overtures of Anthill Cinema, funky prog rock from Tand, ridiculous funk and more from The Reality, the new and improved Greenhouse Lounge, and the awesome power of S.P.O.R.E.
We’re not done yet. Occasional Hoosier Joe Marcinek has filled his band with great Floridians (Ashley Galbraith, Taylor Galbraith & Tommy Shugart). Revival features superb vocalist Avis Berry, Oxford Noland are a surprising duet, and Shine and the Shakers will make you do exactly that.
Just this much would have made a fine festival. Added to all the other Hulaween shenanigans, this will be a Halloween to remember, helping us forget missing that last one.
