Never Mind Where’s Waldo! Where’s Joe Marcinek?

Joe Marcinek, the man of a thousand bands, has been busy all over the place while at the same time releasing his brand new album JMB4, which we will review shortly.

This week, he will lead a band featuring Michelangelo Carubba (Turkuaz) on drums, Ola Timothy on bass, Tommy Shugart on Hammond B3, and Chris Sgammato on alto saxophone. The group will hit Dunedin, Boca Raton, Winter Park, and Jacksonville. Roosevelt Collier will join the band for the shows at The Funky Biscuit, The New Standard, and Blue Jay Listening Room.

Back in his native Indiana, he will play Jazz in the Park Music Festival in Highland in June. In July, he will be at Beyond the Beach Music Festival in Michigan City and Jerry’s Birthday at Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground.

Also in July, he will play two shows with George Porter Jr. and The Runnin’ Pardners in Charleston and Asheville. Both of those shows will also feature the outstanding Marvelous Funkshun from Winston-Salem.
