Slightly Stoopid Returns to Riviera Maya for Closer to the Sun
Slightly Stoopid and Cloud 9 Adventures announced the long-awaited return of Closer To The Sun, the band’s wildly popular destination music festival. To be held December 8-12 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the event will feature three shows by Slightly Stoopid along with a roster of legendary performers from the world of reggae, hip hop, and indie rock.
Joining Slightly Stoopid for the seventh incarnation of the festival will be Stephen Marley, Rebelution, Iration, Cypress Hill, Pepper, Common Kings, HIRIE, The Movement, and DENM, with more to be announced. Last year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Besides musical performances running day and night across three stages, attendees can enjoy a host of curated activities including yoga, poolside games, artist-led workshops, and theme nights. Of course, soaking in the beauty of Riviera Maya and exploring ancient ruins, historical sites, and more are also on tap.
