Positive Legacy continues its streak of fund-raising events aimed at assisting music industry workers hit hard by pandemic-related shutdowns with Bid for Positive: “Love is Everywhere” Wilco Online Auction. Set for April 15-18, the auction gives fans the chance to revisit the magic of Cloud 9 Adventures’ early 2020’s inaugural Sky Blue Sky event featuring Wilco, Kamasi Washington, Courtney Barnett and others.
Partnering with Wilco, Positive Legacy (the non-profit, charitable arm of Cloud 9 Adventures) will give fans the opportunity to bid on exclusive Wilco memorabilia including signed posters, vinyl, and art as well as photography by Josh Timmermans and Dave Vann. The auction opens on Thursday, April 15 at 5 p.m. ET and closes on Sunday, April 18 at 8 p.m. ET. Visit the auction website for a preview of items. To register text bid4postive to 243725.
Money raised supports Positive Legacy’s Covid-19 Relief Fund, which provides micro-grants to music event gig workers struggling to survive without work during the ongoing pandemic. Positive Legacy’s fundraising efforts began in the spring of 2020 using various platforms including weekly releases of archival footage of Jam Cruise performances and Widespread Panic’s “Bust it Big” online auction held in March of this year. Over $64,000 has been raised so far and distributed to more than 200 qualified independent contract workers from the live music industry.
