Joe Marcinek Has More Tricks Up His Sleeve
Joe Marcinek is still a very busy man. He recently completed recording JMB4, his fourth album, and played two killer shows at Fool’s Engagement Music & Arts Festival with all-star lineups (his tour de force).
Tonight (Friday, April 23), guitarist Marcinek is at The Mousetrap in Indianapolis, and Saturday the band travels to Lansing IL for a show at One Trick Pony. With him will be Kofi Baker, son of legendary drummer Ginger Baker of Cream and Blind Faith, on drums. Brilliant bass player Ola Timothy is also with Marcinek, as are S. Joel Norman on keyboards and Rick King (Royal Hustle) on percussion and vocals. For Saturday’s show, Marcinek, Baker, and Timothy will be joined by Kyle Magnuson on keyboards.
At the end of May, Marcinek has again conjured up a downright ridiculous lineup, this time featuring Robert Sput Searight (Ghost-Note), Tony Hall (Dumpstaphunk), and Shaun Martin (Shaun Martin’s Three-O, Snarky Puppy). They’ve got three shows in Texas: Dallas, Tyler, and Austin.
