The Grass is Dead at Farm to Grass Music Festival
The inaugural Farm to Grass Music Festival just went down at Saint Lucie Farm Preserve in Ft. Pierce, Florida, over the weekend of February 4-7. This promises to be a great new venue, and the fest was a great success. The lineup included The Grass is Dead, Uproot Hootenanny, Firewater Tent Revival, Guavatron, Free Range Strange, Souljam, and a dozen more great bands and performers.
Intrepid videographer Volke Mon and Pattie Boates, whose fine work has documented events such as Orange Blossom Jamboree, Hometeam New Year’s Rally, Wanee Music Festival, and Suwannee Rising, were there to record the festivities.
The Grass is Dead offer one of the very best tributes to The Grateful Dead, done in eclectic bluegrass style. They have played across the U.S. and have performed at dozens of festivals, including Suwannee Hulaween (what an incredible late-night set!), Suwannee Roots Revival, and Suwannee Spring Reunion.
