Steeln’ Peaches at Winterland at Maddox Ranch

Winterland at Maddox Ranch in Lakeland FL wrapped up a successful two-day event February 12 & 13 primarily featuring bands who offer tributes to The Grateful Dead. In the mix was an outstanding Talking Heads tribute from Row Jomah and friends.

Also on the bill was a new collective called Steeln’ Peaches. The band was put together by Chuck Magid, former frontman for The Groove Orient and a hard-rockin’ player. The band features Magid, guitar, vocals; Daniel Heitz, guitar, vocals; Aaron “Bucky” Buckingham, drums, vocals; Glenn Kastrinos, bass, vocals; Colin Fei, keyboards, vocals; and David Vanegas, percussion, vocals.

Their set was a fresh and powerful look at the music of The Allman Brothers Band. Count on hearing them at festivals on a regular basis: this is some badassery! You can catch Steeln’ Peaches in residence the first Saturday of every month at Tuffy’s Bottle Shop & Lounge in Sanford, Florida.
