Free Range Strange at Farm to Grass Music Festival

The inaugural Farm to Grass Music Festival just went down at Saint Lucie Farm Preserve in Ft. Pierce, Florida, over the weekend of February 4-7. This promises to be a great new venue, and the fest was a great success. The lineup included The Grass is Dead, Uproot Hootenanny, Firewater Tent Revival, Guavatron, Free Range Strange, Souljam, and a dozen more great bands and performers.

Intrepid videographer Volke Mon and Pattie Boates, whose fine work has documented events such as Orange Blossom Jamboree, Hometeam New Year’s Rally, Wanee Music Festival, and Suwannee Rising, were there to record the festivities.

Free Range Strange play a fine twisted-up blend of folk, Americana, bluegrass with their own “strange” additives. The band for this set included: Timber, guitar, mandolin, vocals; Sunnie Rae, ukulele, guitar, vocals; Justin Davis, banjo, guitar, vocals; and Nilu Jimenez-Ross, upright bass.
