Fantasia & Keith Sweat Headline Mother’s Day Music Festival
The 13th annual Mother’s Day Music Festival returns to the Jersey shore with headliners Fantasia and Keith Sweat set to deliver a special Mother’s Day concert on Saturday, May 8, at Atlantic City’s famed Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. The long-running R&B music festival returns after taking a hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic that raged the New York/New Jersey region last year. The well-attended festival typically draws sellout crowds annually that fill the historic Boardwalk Hall.
Philadelphia-based festival producers Platinum Productions will bring an impressive lineup of R&B’s very best to New Jersey for this special event. Fantasia, Keith Sweat, Tank, Avant, and Destinee Maree are all set to take the massive stage on Saturday night in celebration of mom’s special day.
Grammy Award winner singer, songwriter and actress Fantasia Barrino, more commonly known as just Fantasia, returns to perform at the Mother’s Day Music Festival, having last graced the stage there in 2017. Fantasia, who is best known for winning the third season on American Idol, has released a total of seven studio albums, sold more than 2.8 million records and reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with her debut single “I Believe.”
Keith Sweat, the singer/songwriter and prominent figure in the New Jack swing musical movement of the 1980’s, brings over 45 years’ experience in the music business and has released 13 studio albums, reaching his highest success in 1988 with a number 5 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 with “I Want Her” from his debut album Make It Last Forever.
