Southern Avenue Announces Instrumenthead Live Virtual Concert

The holiday season just got a little cheerier with 2020 Grammy nominees Southern Avenue’s announcement that they’ll be holding a free virtual concert on Saturday, December 19.  Set to be simultaneously broadcast over Facebook and YouTube at 7 p.m. CST (8 p.m. EST), the event will be streamed live from noted music photographer Michael Weintrob’s Instrumenthead Live Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fans can tune in to the hour-long concert at instrumentheadlive.com for a dose of Southern Avenue’s brand of fiery, soulful blues that defines them as torchbearers for the genre’s modern era. Their 2019 sophomore release Keep On put them in the running earlier this year in The Grammys’ “Best Contemporary Blues Album” category. Even during the pandemic, their relentless work ethic drives them to continue work on a follow-up album, live-stream performances, and play a few socially distanced in-person concerts, including an end-of-year show scheduled for Sunday, December 27, at City Winery Nashville

The December 19th show is one in a series of concerts broadcast from Instrumenthead Live Studio which was launched in August by Michael Weintrob, whose prolific work has been displayed in galleries around the world. The studio’s music programming comes in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, allowing Weintrob and his collaborators the opportunity to provide safe, quality concerts to music lovers everywhere.
