Buckle Up for NYE in NOLA with Galactic, Anders Osborne, Samantha Fish & More
Nothing stands in the way of Galactic’s legendary, no-holds-barred, New Year’s throwdowns at New Orlean’s iconic music club Tipitina’s, and that includes a pandemic. While the crowds will be missing due to COVID-19 restrictions, Tip’s will be ringing in 2021 with NYE in NOLA, a concert Livestream featuring five bands from five independent venues across The Crescent City.
Hosted by beloved actor and part-time New Orleans resident John Goodman, the December 31 virtual event will feature Galactic, Anders Osborne, Samantha Fish, Dumpstaphunk, and Rebirth Brass Band. George Porter, Jr., Kermit Ruffins, Big Sam and Ani DiFranco will also be making appearances.
Designed to celebrate New Year’s for different time zones, the performances will take place at Tipitina’s, Chickie Wah Wah, d.b.a., The Maple Leaf, and The Howlin’ Wolf. Samantha Fish will kick the party off at 10 p.m. ET at Chickie Wah Wah followed by Anders Osborne at d.b.a. Galactic will then be ushering in the New Year for the Central Zone from Tipitina’s, a club they have played countless times and purchased for their own in 2018. The festivities will continue at The Maple Leaf with Rebirth Brass Brand who will say goodbye to 2020 with fans in Mountain Time. Lastly, Dumpstaphunk will count down the New Year at The Howlin’ Wolf for those on Pacific Time.
