Joe Marcinek is a Very Busy Man

Even with a program, we’re not sure how Joe Marcinek knows who is playing with from day to day. The guitarist, renowned for putting together all-star bands for shows all across the country, is at it again. He just did a three-night run at The New Standard in Winter Park, Florida, before headlining the recent Monster Mash festival in northeast Florida. Let’s talk about this manic schedule coming up.

Thursday, November 12, the Hoosier is at Finnegan’s Pub in Dyer, Indiana, before hoping on a plane to Florida, his home away from home. Friday, he will be at Guanabanas Island Restaurant and Bar in Jupiter. Saturday, it’s Joe Marcinek plays Dead at The New Standard with Patrick Hagerman, Derek Engstrom, Nick Landess, Jeffrey Lane Beal, and Todd Beal. And Sunday he takes the show to Thirsty Gecko in Davie.

Friday, November 20, finds Marcinek at Dunedin Brewery for a show (almost sold out) featuring Brock Butler of Perpetual Groove. backing them are the superb rhythm section of Tucker Sody on drums and Vinny Svoboda on bass.

Clearwater Jazz Holiday is one of many, many festivals cancelled for 2020. CJH is putting on a series of shows in Clearwater, including Roosevelt Collier Band and Electric Kif on November 21. The Joe Marcinek Band will appear there on December 12.
