The 2020 iHeartRadio Music Festival celebrates its tenth year and is set to kick off a live virtual concert on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 & 19, starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
The iHeart Music Festival continues to be one of the most anticipated concerts of the year, drawing record numbers in both attendance and views across national television. As we all know, 2020 has been anything but normal; the lineup for this year’s festival features some of the biggest names in music. Hosted once again by Ryan Seacrest, bands from nearly every genre of music are set to take the stage at the highly anticipated two-day event. This year’s headliners include Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, BTS, Coldplay, Kane Brown with special guest Khalid, Keith Urban, Migos, Miley Cyrus, Thomas Rhett, Usher, and more.
For the first time ever, fans will not be in attendance. Fans can watch the festival live if they download the CW app, or they can watch on CWTV.com The event will be live-streamed, but the organizers will once again feature one-of-a-kind collaborations and surprise performances and will also bring cameras backstage to bring fans an intimate experience, where the stars will share their perspectives on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected their lives and the ability to perform in front of their fans.
Performances at this year’s festival are being filmed at undisclosed stages in Los Angeles and Nashville. Fans will have a chance to be part of the event with a one-of-a-kind fan wall of iHeartRadio listeners. Also this year, the iHeartRadio Music Festival will bridge the gap between fans and the performers with select fans being chosen to introduce the artists and the opportunity for a virtual meet-and-greet. To top it off, select fans watching live will have a chance to have their favorite performer sing directly to them.
For those who can’t watch on that date, they will have a chance to relive the festival during a two-night highlights special on September 27 and 28 from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT. The festival will also be broadcast live on iHeartMedia stations nationwide as well as on the iHeartRadio app.
