Sugar Creek Music Festival Announcement

On September 10-12, Sugar Creek Music Festival in Benton, IL kicks off its seventh year with a weekend full of music, art, and activities for all ages. Get ready to groove, because music ranges from classic jam, funk and bluegrass to reggae and blues. Bands include Spoonfed Tribe, Clusterpluck, Rob Koritz & Friends (of Dark Star Orchestra), Justus & The Experience, The Might Pines, and more. For the night owls, a lit-up trail will take you into the forest to the EDM stage, hosted by Midwest Freaks.

Music will span across three different stages, leaving moments to explore the grounds and all they have to offer. Daytime activities include yoga workshops, kayaking, canoeing, and rock-climbing plus paint pours, bubbles, and hoop workshops for the kiddos! If tent camping isn’t your thing, you’re in luck! Sugar Creek takes place at Camp Manitowa with options to rent a cabin or yurts for a more “luxurious” stay.

The driving force for Sugar Creek Music Festival is not only inspired by the love for music but comes from one man’s unforgettable experience at Electric Forest, which had pushed, and continues to push, his dream of creating a joyful space for the arts.

“A place where people can cut loose and feel so free that they don’t have a single worry in the world. Since our beginning in 2014 we have really made our dream come true!” – Evin Betts, Event Organizer.

Very few festivals are still taking place this summer due to the pandemic, so the Sugar Creek Staff will be taking the necessary safety precautions by having temperature checks at the gate and designated mask areas. Most importantly, it is up to you, the participant, to keep everyone safe. As a friendly reminder, be responsible and do not join the party if you are not feeling well.
