RETROSPEKT Announces Lineup for Twitch and YouTube Livestream Event July 11-12

Ideaison announced the lineup of RETROSPEKT, a two-day multi-genre cinematic music experience taking place July 11-12. The new kind of virtual music experience will integrate live acts from headliners such as Anabel Englund, Autograf, Goldfish, Loud Luxury, SNBRN, SOFI TUKKER, The Knocks, and Vintage Culture and livestream to viewers on Twitch and YouTube.

The performances are filmed with full cinematic production from the Beehive in Van Nuys, CA, on four immersive stages designed by respected national installations and mixed media artists. Each stage features live acts from music artists and immersive art, culture, spoken-word poetry, and dance performances. Some headliners will perform via Wave, a mixed reality virtual concert that transforms artists in real-time onto a virtual stage.

Lauren Kashuk, founder and creative director of Ideaison and the brains behind the event, said:

“RETROSPEKT was created in the wake of the COVID-19 destruction to the music industry and designed to bring our music community together by supporting underrepresented artists and empowering them to speak in an organic and creative way. This event is our way of coping with shared trauma by creating something positive that gives people the power to create, express and operate in our new world. RETROSPEKT supports the artists beyond the stage and integrates our new virtual world with the beloved in-person experience we know fans are craving. The professionals involved in this festival have pulled out every stop, and this experience is sure to incite the range of emotions, similar to your favorite movie.”

The two-day event is free with a suggested fan donation of $20 that will aid artist relief for two organizations — To Write Love on Her Arms and MusiCares — that support music, events, and mental health to aid in crisis relief. All fan donations will go to artists, charity partners To Write Love on Her Arms and MusiCares, and music industry relief impacted by COVID-19.

Streaming will begin on Saturday, July 11 at 12 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. PDT and Sunday, July 12 at 11 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. PDT. Fans can R.S.V.P. on NIGHTOUT, donate in advance, or text RETROSPEKT at +1 (310) 359-1619 for exclusive updates.
