Telluride Blues & Brews Festival Announces Lineup for September

We interrupt this pandemic to bring you a bit of good news coming out of the struggling music industry, which has seen music festivals canceled left and right going well into summer due to the outbreak of COVID-19. After consulting with many fans pleading for some positivity, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival has announced its 2020 lineup including headliners Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Brittany Howard and Buddy Guy. They’ll be joined by Lukas Nelson and Promise of The Real, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Jonny Lang and more.

To be held September 18-20 in Telluride, Colorado, the festival will also feature an outstanding supporting cast from the blues, jam, rock, funk, indie, gospel, soul and comedy worlds including Larkin Poe, Anders Osborne, Samantha Fish, Dead Blues with Luther Dickinson and Friends, The Allman Betts Band, Monophonics, Jamestown Revival and many more. Stand-up comedians Troy Walker, Kyle Kinane, Candice Thompson, and Jenny Zigrino will be providing the comic relief.

In a statement on the festival’s  Facebook page,  organizers noted that they are prioritizing the health and well-being of fans and will monitor conditions right up until the day of the festival. “When life throws you lemons, sometimes the best thing to do is make lemonade,” organizers said. “Given the current situation, we looked to our fans to tell us when the time was right to announce a lineup. An overwhelming majority of respondents voted to hear some positive news.”

Now in its 27th year, the festival will, of course, once again feature some of the best craft brews in the country along with a wide selection of regional cuisine and craft vendors. There will also be plenty of kid-friendly activities including a climbing wall, bounce houses, slides, and parades. Set in the postcard-perfect town of Telluride with the magnificence San Jan Mountain range as a backdrop, the entire family can enjoy nature’s splendor with numerous outdoor activities including hiking, yoga and mountain biking.
