Pay Attention to The Broadcast!

Asheville, North Carolina, is a virtual font of music, with incredible bands of many genres flowing from the Appalachians. There is another outstanding sextet from the music mecca you might not have heard yet, in which case it is most definitely time to check out The Broadcast.

The Broadcast – Mandi Nulph

This band has been on the scene for more than for almost a decade. Their third album will be released in May, titled Lost My Sight. It was produced by two members of Tedeschi Trucks Band: Tim Lefebvre and Tyler Greenwell. Their debut album from 2013 was Dodge the Arrow, and its follow-up was the excellent From the Horizon (2016).

The Broadcast are: Caitlin Krisko, vocals; Aaron Austin, guitar; Mike Runyon, keys; William Seymour, bass; Michael W. Davis, drums; and Tyler Housholder, percussion.
Krisko is an incredible force of nature, a magnificent voice back by a superb band. They call themselves a “psychedelic soul rock band,” and they are definitely NOT wrong.

These six February Southeast dates are their first since their big New Year’s Eve show in Asheville at Ambrose West. They play Roswell Friday and Savannah Saturday before opening the Sunday portion of the Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival. Then they hop through Raleigh, Roanoke, and Williamsburg. From the horizon, we can see they’re already slated for FloydFest in July, with more shows to be announced soon.

Darn right we need to BROADCAST it!
