Mary J. Blige, H.E.R., Jill Scott Headline Miami’s Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival
A standout lineup of Grammy award-winning artists is scheduled for the 15th Annual Jazz in the Gardens”music festival held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The two-day music festival spans the weekend of March 14-15 and is presented by the City of Miami Gardens.
Fifteen years on, Jazz in the Gardens has become a premier music festival that continues to draw record crowds that fill the grounds at Hard Rock Stadium that just hosted the NFL Super Bowl. As the rest of the nation continues to remain in a winter freeze, it makes Miami the perfect destination for those who seek a short respite from the winter blues to enjoy South Florida’s warm weather while listening to some of the most recognized names in music.
Headliner and nine-time Grammy-winner Mary J. Blige will bring her high-energy style to Miami for one special night. The eight-time multi-platinum artist continues to delight audiences worldwide, including last year,s The Royalty Tour that took her across the nation. Blige has produced numerous hits including “Family Affair” that reached number one on the Billboard charts. Blige has six top-ten hits among her other popular songs, including “Real Love,” “No More Drama,” “My Life,” “I Can Love You Better,” “You Remind Me,” and “I’m Going Down” from her extensive catalog of music.
Along with two full nights of music, there will be plenty of food vendors. Those who attend will have a chance to taste Caribbean-themed foods; that includes anything from jerk chicken to various seafood dishes. There will be plenty to drink, too, including cocktails along with frozen drinks to keep the festival-goers cool as the music heats up.
“Jazz in the Gardens celebrates its 15th Anniversary in 2020, and we are very excited,” Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert said in a press release. “This year’s festival has a stellar lineup of Grammy award-winning artists. It is not only the City’s signature event, but it’s also how we say hello to the world as we draw thousands of people from all over to party with us. We look forward to seeing you on March 14th and 15th.”
Prominent musicians Charlie Wilson, Jill Scott, H.E.R., Kirk Franklin, SWV, Keyshia Cole, Nelly, Stokely, Mark Felton, The Roots with Bilal and Uncle Luke, Mike Phillips and other notable artists are included in this year’s lineup. The festival features a variety of prominent national and local acts scheduled to take the stage.

There are also several events that take place leading up to the musical extravaganza, including the Opening Night Party, FMAC Conference, National Poetry Contest and the Woman’s Impact Luncheon.
