Gasparilla Music Festival Announces Lineup Additions
The 2020 Gasparilla Music Festival just got a little more enticing with lineup additions that include New Orleans queen of bounce Big Freedia, Nashville R&B musician and singer Anderson East, progressive/rock/hip hop/jazz fusion wizards TAUK, and electro/indie-pop artists St. Lucia. They’ll be joined by soul/gospel/blues supergroup The Word featuring Grammy Award-winning pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph of Robert Randolph and The Family Band, keyboardist John Medeski of Medeski, Martin & Wood, and members of North Mississippi Allstars, including brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson and Chris Chew.
To be held March 7-8 in Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa, the event also added a slew of local favorites including Holy Slow Train, Someday Honey, Shevonne and The Force, Kerry Courtney, Pleasures, Charles Irwin and many more.
They’ll be rounding out the previously announced initial lineup that features headliners and Grammy Award-winning artists Brandi Carlile and Portugal. The Man along with hip hop pioneers De La Soul.
