T-14 and Counting: GroundUP Music Festival is Almost Here!
We’re just two weeks out from the fourth annual GroundUP Music Festival in Miami Beach and the North Beach Bandshell February 14-16. The lineup is, once again, jaw-dropping, and they have announced late-night sets and cocktail sets in addition to the regular lineup.
Snarky Puppy will play all three nights of the festival with different sets and different lineups, possible given the dozens of amazing musicians who have performed with the band throughout the years. And many of the artists on the lineup are part of the GroundUP family of bands and musicians touching almost every genre imaginable: Banda Magda, Alina Engibaryan, Becca Stevens, Forq, and Breastfist.
The lineup also includes Lettuce, Michael McDonald, Lila Downs, Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Maro, Camila Meza, Flor de Toloache, Wayne Krantz + Keith Carlock + Tim Lefebre, Hamilton de Holanda, Cécile McLorin Salvant Music, and Edmar Castaneda and Grégoire Maret.
The late-night schedule is ridiculous. Let’s say, for the sake of the argument, that ten hours of music a day isn’t enough. You’re in luck! The Nite Owl Theatre in downtown Miami has what you’re looking for each night — from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.!
Cocktails and Brunches with the Artists and Private Performances is another VIP-type option each day of the festival.
And there are numerous workshops and masterclasses. Two of note are: Michael McDonald — Songwriting and More, and Brian Blade — Drum Masterclass.
