Electric Kif Announces February Tour of the Southeast with Shaun Martin Three-O

Following a couple of short weeks of much-deserved downtime from nearly nonstop touring in support of their latest stellar album JEFE (released in September), Electric Kif will be teaming up with Shaun Martin’s Three-O for ten dates across the Southeast in February.

The tour kicks off with four stops in Florida, including Guanabanas in Jupiter on February 19, Dunedin Brewery on February 20, 1904 Music Hall in Jacksonville on February 21, and Heartwood Festival in Gainesville on February 22. They’ll be at Aisle 5 in Atlanta on February 24 before heading to North Carolina, which will see three performances, at the Cat’s Cradle in Carborro on February 25, Evening Muse in Charlotte on February 27, and Sierra Nevada Brewing in Mills River on February 29. South Carolina and Tennessee will each get one date:  February 26 at The Pour House in Charleston and February 28 at Barley’s Taproom in Knoxville.

The co-billing Electric Kif and Grammy Award-winner Shaun Martin and his trio are a match made in heaven, with both acts pushing the boundaries of jazz fusion. Made up of Bassist Rodrigo Zambrano, keyboardist Jason Matthews, drummer Armando Lopez, and guitarist Eric Escanes, Electric Kif dips in and out of genres including jazz, cosmic funk, rock and electronic drum and bass with ease. Describing their music as “Post Nuclear,” the Miami-based quartet slays with a sonic mashup of hard-hitting grooves, high octane-riffs, and supersonic melodies.

Electric Kif’s notable performances include GroundUP Music Festival, Rochester International Jazz Festival, Suwannee Hulaween, Miami Downtown Jazz Festival, and more. They’ve also opened for some of the biggest names on the festival circuit including Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Motet, and Stanley Jordan. Fans can catch them in their hometown at their monthly residencies with curated guest appearances with Cory Henry, Michael League, Roosevelt Collier, Mark Lettieri, and other top-notch musicians.

Pairing Electric Kif with the genius of keyboardist Shaun Martin guarantees a high level of badassery not to be missed. A gifted musician, producer, songwriter, and solo artist, Martin is a regular member of Snarky Puppy whose prodigious talents have won him seven Grammys — three with Snarky Puppy and four for work with Gospel great Kirk Franklin. His latest project, Shaun Martin’s Three-O, is a jazz fusion trio consisting of Martin on keyboards, Mike “Blaque Dynamite” Mitchell on drums, and Matt Ramsey on bass. The band came together in Dallas, Martin’s hometown, back in 2018 and has been making their mark on the music scene since. Go to Shaun Martin Music to learn more about the artist and his projects.
