Oh, did we mention LIVE MUSIC?!?!?!?!?!
This is a superb lineup, beginning with The Melody Trucks Band, who just released their outstanding debut album Walking in Gratitude. This great septet is overloaded with talent, headed by Melody Trucks on vocals and congas.
The Firewater Tent Revival have been refining their jam band bluegrass style and knocked out a tremendous set at Suwannee Hulaween.
Free Range Strange are exactly what they suggest, a marvelously good band exploring the wide possibilities of a stringband with great originals, wild covers, and tons of smiles.
Billy Gilmore plays most everything with strings. He performs with the outstanding band The Grass is Dead. Billy Gilmore & Friends features Gilmore and a lot of incredibly talented friends.
Custard Pie ought to be declared the RUM 138 official home band (if they’re not already). These boys work tirelessly and continue to add to their repertoire and their reputation.
We were genuinely excited when The Ain’t Sisters burst onto our radar a year ago, and since then they have exploded as a fabulous band fronted by Barb Carbon and Arrie Bozeman, who ain’t.
They will be joined by the one and only Rev. Funky D!
Dennis Stadelman has been prominent on the jam scene for two decades, and during that time he has made a huge splash on his own with Sonic Stew and with the redoubtable quartet CopE, who are making music again.
Triple threat Tony Tyler of Come Back Alice and Tony Tyler Trance will also perform; he is a dangerous man on guitar, keyboards, AND vocals!
Excellent group HoneyWhat from St. Petersburg features the vocal stylings of Danielle Mohr pouring out soul, pop, and rock in copious doses.
There is so much more on the lineup, including Cowford Town Band, The Walkers, Somatic, VOWLS, Fuzzy Britches, The Wandering Hours, Sweet As Folk, Two Trains, Pan, Matt Rosman, Hollyanne Page, Breezy Pop, Square Grouper Conspiracy, Awen Family Band, Nick Boutwell, Dan Gravelle, and Corwin Klein Handpan.
You do NOT need to go shopping that weekend. You NEED to soothe your soul with great music, great community, and great family. AND SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC!
