You Better Eat Your Wheaties. Jam Cruise 18 Just Announced Its Full Music Schedule
The mad scientists at Cloud 9 Adventures have released a smashing music schedule for the sold-out Jam Cruise 18 that practically screams, “Go ahead, Jam Cruisers. We dare you to keep up!” Set to sail from Miami Jan 7-12 with stops in the Bahamas and Mexico, jam’s legendary festival at sea will be headlined by The Claypool Lennon Delirium with an added shot of Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz featuring Stanton Moore, Mike Dillon, and Sherik.
They’ll be joined by moe. Circles Around The Sun, Cory Wong, Tank and The Bangas, Samantha Fish, Ghost-Note, Turkuaz, Lotus, Chali 2na & Cut Chemist, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Dumpstaphunk along with Jam Cruise stalwarts Galactic, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Lettuce, George Porter Jr., Ivan Neville, Keller Williams and many more.
There isn’t a base that this schedule doesn’t cover. Jam, jazz, funk, soul, bluegrass, jamtronica, blues, and hip hop will be spread across six venues on the palatial MSC Divina. The Divina’s expansive upper deck will feature two stages. There’s the Pool Deck where the main party rages and where big jams happen, including Lettuce, who will get the festivities underway with a sail-away performance, and the much-anticipated Marcus King Jam scheduled for the last day at sea. The second is the smaller Brews At Sea Stage which showcases up-and-coming talent like NYC brass house trio Too Many Zoozs and troubadour Nathan Moore.
Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Circles Around The Sun, Everyone Orchestra and more will hold court indoors in the colossal Pantheon Theater. The ship’s lavish Black and White Lounge will be turned into a sweat-soaked music club where fans can boogie till the wee hours of the morning to epic jams with Roosevelt Collier, George Porter Jr, Joe Marcinek and more.
History-making collaborations will be happening in the intimate Golden Jazz Bar, where Steve Kimock, Eric Benny Bloom, Spaga and more incredible artists will be making history. And don’t dare neglect the goings-on “Around The Ship,” including Ivan Neville’s never-to-be-missed piano set at the crystalline Atrium or Maddy O’Neal spinning at The Galaxy Disco. “Around The Ship” also extends to off the ship with a stop in the Bahamas at Ocean Cay, MSC Cruise’s private island, where Ryan Montbleau and Keller Williams’ Petty Grass will be performing.
