The Reality: Lies, Lies, and More Lies

Seriously, this Tampa quartet is nothing but a bunch of liars, and we can prove it. They advertised, broadcast, threw it up on social media that they would be playing TWO sets at The Ringside Cafe in St. Petersburg on Thursday, September 5.
That should have worked out great, since Boxcar Hollow Trio plays right around the corner at The Mandarin Hide, and we often traipse back and forth between the two places during set breaks.
But, like we said, The Reality lied. Did they play two sets? NO, THEY DID NOT. They began about 10:20 after getting things straight with the house sound man (who did an outstanding job, by the way). So they started playing, but they only played ONE SET. Of course, to be fair, it was THREE HOURS LONG! They finally stopped about 1:20.
