Snarky Puppy Back on the Road for Huge North American, European Tours
The Snarky Puppy machine is getting ready to hit the road again with a 25-date North American tour, followed shortly thereafter by 32 more concerts in Europe. Michael League’s 2003 brainchild has become, along with Tedeschi Trucks Band, the modern definition of “big band.”
The group released their 12th studio album, Immigrance, in January. They also have available 93 live recordings (beginning in 2017 and as recent as this past June) available on their website.
What do they play? Everything. Well, practically everything. Jazz, funk, rock, world, soul. And they play it all brilliantly. When you go to a Snarky Puppy show, just start counting how many musicians you know who are there, taking notes. The music sparkles with vibrance, joy, and life.
After League and colleagues released their fifth album titled GroundUp, they decided to use that as the name for their record label and for their incredible GroundUp Music Festival in Miami each February.
