Third Annual Marcus King Band Family Reunion Announces Initial Lineup
The third installment of The Marcus King Band Family Reunion is shaping up to be as eclectic as ever with its initial lineup announcement featuring Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit, Josh Ritter and Amanda Shires among the artists slated for the annual gathering. Set for September 27-28 at Pisgah Brewing Company in Black Mountain NC, the two-day festival will also include Futurebirds, Los Coast, and Charlie Overbey & The Broken Arrows with more to be announced.
Each year, the artists are handpicked by Marcus King, the 23-year-old guitar phenom, whose psychedelic Southern soul/rock/blues have been taking the world by storm. The Marcus King Band will play two sets at the festival, and, if past years are any indication, fans can expect some epic collaborations as well.
“Each year Family Reunion grows more and more while still maintaining the festival’s original concept,” said King in a statement on the band’s website. Family Reunion is about “bringing together our families – the brothers and sisters we’ve come to know on the road, for a weekend of breaking bread, making music, and fellowship. We hope to see all of YOU at the annual Family Reunion this year.”
