Jams On The Sand Returns to Asbury Park

Summer is officially a week away, and with it comes the chance to combine the excitement of live music with the beauty of nature and the great outdoors. This combination is exactly what Jams on The Sand offers to fans of live music in and around the Jersey Shore. This free weekly concert series hosted by Anchor’s Bend now in its fourth year brings fans and musicians together directly on the beach with shows taking place throughout the summer.

The concert series begins June 20 with The Main Squeeze as well as Ron Artis II & The Truth and will run weekly thru the final show on August 29 with Kat Wright and Bella’s Bartok and opening act The Artisanals. The free concert series will also feature Zach Deputy, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, Cris Jacobs and Jazz Is Phish as well as a host of other local and national touring acts.

A new addition to this year’s Jams on the Sand series will be a weekly ticketed after-show to keep the music and the evening going, hosted by the legendary Wonder Bar. These shows will begin at 10 p.m., and both individual tickets as well as season passes will be available via Ticketmaster or through the Stone Pony box office. The venue, which is just a short stroll across the street from the Anchor’s Bend, will feature a lineup including performances from Waiting On Mongo, Peoples Blues of Richmond, Midnight North and many more.

For further information on any of the upcoming performances or details including where shows will take place in case of bad weather and any other event related questions head to the Jams on the Sand website.
