Get Ready for Suwannee Roots Revival
The 4th Annual Suwannee Roots Revival is happening October 10-13 at the beautiful Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. As usual, the lineup is packed with talented performers and pickers and some of the biggest names in bluegrass and Americana. Sam Bush, Del McCoury and Peter Rowan will be there, along with park favorites Verlon Thompson, Joe Craven, Keller Williams, Donna the Buffalo, and Rev. Jeff Mosier, plus many other great acts. Especially looking forward to seeing Brett Bass and Melted Plectrum, who have a new album just being released, and the Lee Boys, the amazing sacred steel band from Miami. Hot blues singer and guitarist Samantha Fish is another great addition.
If you’ve never been to the Music Park, it’s a wonderful relief from overcrowded sunbaked festivals. The site is nestled in trees, with the Suwannee River and a lake on site. There’s an indoor music hall along with several outdoor stages. There are rental cabins available and lots of campsites. It’s a laid-back, relaxing weekend with great talent, so put it on your list.
