SweetWater 420 Fest Ready to Rock Atlanta
Tomorrow the awesomeness that is the SweetWater 420 Fest commences in Atlanta. Put on your running shoes, because you’re going to need them! Two main stages, the Lyrics and Laughter Stage, 420 Disco, and the SweetWater Experience Tent will keep you busy the next three days!
FRIDAY
The primary SweetWater Stage will be headlined by The Avett Brothers, Rebelution, JJ Grey & Mofro, and John Medeski’s Mad Skillet. The Planet 420 Stage is just as huge, with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Billy Strings, and Pink Talking Fish for your enjoyment.
The comedians appear between the bands on the Lyrics and Laughter Stage, where you’ll hear Cory Wong, Flow Tribe and more interspersed with Joe Pettis, Aaron Lee Tasjan, and others. Over at 420 Disco, check out EDM and livetronica with Goth-Trad, Little People, and Igloohost at the top of the list. And there are lots of activities over at the SweetWater Experience Tent each day.
SATURDAY
Oh, hell, yeah! Widespread Panic, Moon Taxi, Everyone Orchestra, and Cory Henry & the Funk Apostles are on the main stage, with Iration, BIG Something, and The Band of Heathens on Planet 420.
SunSquabi, The Hedonistas, and Magic City Hippies are some of the bands trading with comedians, while Daily Bread, Robotaki, B. Keys, and Floyd rock 420 Disco.
SUNDAY
How about more of the six-headed monster? Widespread Panic back for round two, with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, and Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass. Planet 420 features Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Turkuaz, and Fruition.
Knower, Zach Deputy and the Yankees, Voodoo Visionary, and The Orange Constant are up, too, as are Marvel Years, Michal Menert, ExMag, and Space Kadet.
Sleep? Who needs it? there are late-night shows at Aisle 5 and at Terminal West.
