Just Another Phyre Phestival at POE Ranch
OK, as you wake up here in north Florida (Saturday, March 30), you may still not know that there is a very cool festival happening today. Actually, it’s not cool at all. It’s Just Another Phyre Phestival at POE Ranch in Fort White.
This one *almost* slipped past us. Shame on us.
But you’ve still got time to get out to hear great music from three fine bands. More about them in a minute, but here are some details about the day first:
Are you ready for the inaugural festival at The POE Ranch?
In an effort to continue to support local live music, let’s all gather for camping, music, and family fun. This is a private event with three bands: Custard Pie, Side Hustle and Them Vagabonds!
Feel free to bring the beverages of your choice. Please, no pets. Tents and RV’s are welcome. Camping is primitive only, so if you need power, bring a generator.
Food vendor(s) Brooks Brothers BBQ. Earthchild Creations will be vending for the event as well and also offering a limited food menu. If you would like to vend, please contact us for information.
We look forward to spending the day with you! All ticket proceeds are a donation for the bands for this event. The tickets will be $20 plus fees.
Kids 17 & under are FREE!!!
Very Phyre and very cool, all at the same time.
About the bands:
CUSTARD PIE
Certainly by now you’ve had the chance to hear the hardest-working band in the Southeast. They probably played 370 gigs last year alone. The Valdosta trio (plus lighting director) play “cosmic gypsy jam” which has been, to quote The Chambers Brothers, “psychedelicized!”
SIDE HUSTLE
This Jacksonville quartet introduced themselves to many of us at last year’s Orange Blossom Jamboree, but they really made a splash at Suwannee Hulaween as they threw down a massive set of funk, fusion, and jam. They have just released a new EP titled Common Ground.
THEM VAGABONDS
Them Vagabonds, all four of them, love to twist their Southern jam up with a lot of blues. Or, as they would say: “What do you get when you mix rock, blues, jam, and a whole lot of shenanigans?? Them Vagabonds! Let’s party like it’s 1969!”
Sounds like a grand day all the way around. Tell us you’ve got something better to do with that Jackson in your pocket.
That’s what we thought.
