26th Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival Announces Initial Lineup
The 26th annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is out with an eclectic initial lineup that mixes blues, funk, rock, indie, jam, gospel and soul, including Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band, Boz Scaggs, The Allman Betts Band, Ruthie Foster, Anders Osborne, Samantha Fish, Ryan Bingham, Tab Benoit, and more.
To be held in Town Park in picturesque Telluride, Colorado, September 13-15, the three-day festival will also feature Hiss Golden Messenger, Durand Jones & The Indications, Cedric Burnside, Phil Cook, The Como Mamas, Otis Taylor’s Psychedelic Banjo Posse, Southern Avenue, Low Cut Connie, IDA MAE, Little Willie Farmer, and more. Expect more artist additions in the coming weeks.
The music doesn’t stop when the sun goes down, either. The festival will kick off on September 12 with events that include a free Sunset Blues Concert, the exclusive Bal De Maison Opening Show at the historic Sheridan Opera House, and a luxurious Music Maker Relief Foundation Fundraiser Dinner. Friday and Saturday evening offer four different “Juke Joint” shows each night showcasing a variety of artists, a stand-up comedy venue, and a special “Mitch Woods Club 88” jam session. Sunday the festival finishes out with the celebrated Fais Do-Do Closing Show. Look for artists to be announced for the night time shows in the near future.

Of course, Telluride Blues & Brews wouldn’t be the festival that it is without brews – 56 craft breweries and 170 styles of beer and cider to be exact. On Saturday, September 14, the festival hosts the Grand Tasting, a 25-year-old tradition that is widely regarded as the premiere craft beer event in the Southwest. There will also be plenty of mouthwatering local cuisine prepared by area vendors to soak all those suds up.
With the towering San Juan Mountain range as a backdrop, the festival will also be offering plenty of ways to enjoy one of the most beautiful spots in Colorado. Yoga, group hikes, a 5-k run, kids activities and parades are just some of things available to occupy attendees when not immersed in music, beer and food.
