The Save-the-Date Festival is a GO! for April at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park
Oh, ye of little faith! Did you really think Paul Levine would abandon us in our hour of need?
When the announcement arrived — not unanticipated — that the 2019 Wanee Music Festival would not be held, the faithful Sisters and Brothers of the Suwannee and all who had embraced the family-rich tradition of Wanee were distraught. There was much weeping and gnashing of teeth. [Ed. note: guilty as charged]
Nobody seriously entertained any thought of a Wanee at other venue. But there were glimmers of hope, indications that there were forces working to bring a replacement of some sort to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Positive encouragement came from a number of sources we trusted.
This announcement was delayed due to the financial difficulties that ensnared Hulaween through December and January. The resolution on those is almost complete, with the knowledge that the issue will never occur again.
We will get much more information on February 11th, including lineup and ticket information. We have every reason to believe that this will be a glorious announcement indeed, even better than you might imagine. For the moment, have faith in those who love bringing the very best music to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.
