The Hip Abduction Head Out on Their Daydreamer Tour

St. Petersburg’s The Hip Abduction head out Friday on their Daydreamer Tour, taking their “indie/alt” vibes across the country, except that “indie/alt” barely begins to cover what this great band does on stage. They hit island vibes, Afrobeat, ska sensibilities, rock, pop, and more at each performance, always with a positive outlook that translates easily to their smiling, happy fans.

Justino Lee Walker commented on the upcoming tour:

The tour kicks off next week with the M3F festival in Phoenix and runs through the end of May. The first leg of the tour will include headlining shows up and down the East Coast, hitting places such as Asheville, DC, Philly, and NYC. Then, we’ll close it out with Dirty Heads. We will be debuting a few new tunes, reworking some old stuff, and playing a few surprises people will have to come out and see. We plan to change our set list up every night. The new album has been done, but we are waiting for the right time to make the right move before we drop it on the world. We’re really proud of it and want to release it the right way. The musical direction is a very honest one: songs of love, life, and travel. I think it’s a very fluid, musical record that a lot of people will connect with.
