Inaugural Smoky Run Music Festival Comes to Ohio in June
Smoky Run Music Festival is a brand new fest that intends to make one heck of an impression on the Midwest. Located just over an hour away from Cleveland and Columbus is Butler, Ohio, a very small town surrounded by America’s farmland. The festival itself takes place at Clear Fork Adventure Resort, and the grounds are nothing short of breathtaking: 175 private acres filled with massive canopying trees, rolling hills, and a river. You really can’t ask for a better place to hold a music festival. Smoky Run will take place June 28th – 30th and boasts a notable lineup for an inaugural festival.
Featuring some remarkable rock, folk, jam, and bluegrass musicians from around the country. Headliners include Gov’t Mule, Trampled by Turtles, and Railroad Earth. The lineup goes far deeper than just these three great bands. Smoky Run also managed to book Deer Tick (a personal favorite), Son Volt, Sierra Hull, and The Way Down Wanderers. I went through the lineup today and have yet to find a band that isn’t amazing. Check out the full lineup for Smoky Run below!
This is a Camping Festival!
If you are already intrigued by all these details, then the rest is just icing on the cake. This is a camping festival. Three nights under the stars await, and the price of a ticket won’t set you back a week’s pay. Passes for the weekend, with camping, start at only $125. That’s about 1/3 of the price of most music festivals. Kids aged 13-17 are only $50, and children under 12 are free. The festival will feature a ton of local food, beer, and artists. We’re ready to rock out; hope you are too!
