Sonic Temple: Day Schedules
Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, the hottest new rock function, dropped the day breakdown for their lineup schedule. Sonic Temple will be hosted in Columbus, Ohio, on May 17, 18 and 19 at the MAPFRE Stadium. The festival grounds were previously known for hosting the long-running event, Rock on the Range, which was co-owned by Danny Wimmer Presents and AEG Presents before going their separate ways. Sonic Temple is solely a DWP production and this year will mark its first annual appearance.
Although System of a Down has been on a recording lapse for over a decade, they will headline Friday evening at the festival. This show is currently one of only two shows they have laid out for 2019 thus far. Friday also features Swedish rock band Ghost, Russian feminist punk group Pussy Riot, American rock band Halestorm, and many others.
Saturday is jam-packed with major acts including heavy metal band Disturbed and English electronic group The Prodigy. Others joining the lineup include Lamb of God, Fever 333, Killswitch Engage, Gojira, The Black Dahlia Murder and more.
Foo Fighters and Bring Me The Horizon will close out the festival on Sunday evening. Behind the headliners, big names include American rock group Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, nu metal group Chevelle, Swedish hardcore punk band Refused, and Canadian alt-rock band The Glorious Sons.
The festival will also feature a spoken word tent on Friday to feature the likes of Henry Rollings, Shapel Lacey and also Nadya of Pussy Riot and Tom Morello and a comedy tent on Friday and Saturday with acts such as Andrew Dice Clay, Craig Gass, Pauly Shore and Carmen Lynch. Both tents are sponsored by Sirius XM.
