Time to Sign Up for Summer Camp – Summer Camp Music Festival, That Is!
Look, we know it’s still December, but it’s time to think about enrolling in summer camp.
Not just any summer camp, though. We mean Summer Camp Music Festival, with your camp counselors moe. and Umphrey’s McGee. Both bands will play all three days (May 24-25-26) at the campsite, otherwise referred to as Chillicothe, Illinois.
Summer Camp enrollment is already bursting at the seams, what with Zeds Dead, Big Gigantic, Rebelution, and Toots and the Maytals prepared to put you right. So will Gramatik, Flux Pavilion, Black Star, and Trampled by Turtles. Summer Camp is on Blues Traveler’s itinerary, and this will be the last time out for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic; don’t sleep on this one.
It will be time to jam out with Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Manic Focus, Papadosio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Pnuma (live), Spafford, Sunsquabi, and Squnto. Borgore, Shiba San, and Space Jesus have signed up, and fasten your seatbelts when Too Many Zooz and Here Come the Mummies hit the stage. And you know Keller Williams’ Pettygrass will be very special indeed.
The Summer Camp lineup is slammed with jam, funk, EDM, R&B, and Americana of all sorts: ALO, Andy Frasco & the U.N., Aqueous, Arlo McKinley & the Lonesome Sound, Cory Wong, Dirtwire, Eprom, Ghost Light, the Jeff Austin Band, Maddy O’Neal, Mersiv, Mihali, Ray Volpe, Russ Liquid, Sodown, Steady Flow, Sun Stereo, Victory, We Banjo 3, The Werks, Yultron, Yung Bee, Memba, PLS&TY, The Ries Brothers, and Tenth Mountain Division.
And our favorite one-man wrecking crew: Brandon ‘Taz’ Niederauer!
