Get Behind the Mule! Gov’t Mule, That Is!
You know it’s New Year’s Eve if Gov’t Mule has once again taken over the Beacon in New York. The band actually gets the party started Friday (28th) at The Tower in Upper Darby, with Oteil & Friends also on the bill. Then Mule moves to the Beacon for the 29th, before taking a day off leading up to the big NYE show.
On the horizon, the band’s tenth annual Island Exodus at Runaway Bay in Jamaica runs January 20-24 at Jewel Paradise Cove Resort on Runaway Bay. Joining the Mule will be The Marcus King Band, The Allman Betts Band (Devon and Duane), Ron Holloway, and Little Days. Warren Haynes will also appear solo.
The quartet will travel to the Netherlands for Ribs and Blues in Raalte at the beginning of June. At the end of the month, they will play the Smoky Run Music Festival in Ohio, then a show with Lynyrd Skynyrd in Minnesota in July.
Haynes will also be at The Peach Music Festival (July 25-28), performing with Phil Lesh & Friends, including John Scofield and John Molo.
