Custard Pie On the Road to Hometeam (New Year’s Rally)
The road to Hometeam is under way for Custard Pie, the tireless Valdosta jam trio, who opened this tour last night (Friday, December 7th) in Stuart, Florida. They have nine more dates before they arrive at the Hometeam New Year’s Rally in Lakeland, Florida, on December 29th. (Hometeam is SOLD OUT.)
Tonight (Saturday, the 8th) they play Mellow Mushroom on Fleming Island. Next weekend, they return home for three shows, then head back to Jacksonville (December 20th) for the Official Hometeam PreParty at Nighthawks and two more shows in Jax and Jax Beach. And they will play one more Hometeam PreParty on the 28th, this one at the Grateful Fed Pub in St. Petersburg.
Custard Pie are: Rory Joseph, electric guitar, vocals, percussion, loops; Aaron Webb, electric bass; Brandon Howell, drums, percussion, vocals, samples; and Megan Hedrick, lighting engineer. Their self-description is spot-on: they play “psychedelic rock with elements of improv and experimentation.”
