Best Music Festival Lineups of 2019 (So Far)

Some of the lineups released for 2019 have been a big yawn, but there are others that are absolutely mind-blowing. The headliners alone have you ready to buy tickets. As you start to go through the undercard, you are taken back by the insane amount of talent that one music festival has been able to book. From top to bottom, it is one of the best music festival lineups you have ever seen. So far, 2019 has had some pretty spectacular festival lineups, but there are three that are leaps and bounds above the rest. These are the best music festival lineups for 2019 as of today, December 26th.

#3 Sonic Temple Festival – May 17th – 19th – Columbus, OH

Heavy rockers and metalheads unite! Sonic Temple Festival has one of the most beautiful and rock-heavy lineups that has ever been released. If somehow you are not sold on buying a ticket with the first two headliners, then that undercard will have you ready to party. From Foo Fighters and System of a Down to Killswitch Engage, Pussy Riot and Tom Morello, this easily is one of the best music festival lineups currently released.

#2 Electric Forest – June 27th – 30th – Rothbury, Michigan

If rock and roll isn’t your thing, don’t worry; Electric Forest has you covered. Their 2019 lineup follows this festival’s history of continuously delivering pure EDM goodness: four days of music throughout the day and night. From the bass-heavy beats of Bassnectar and 12th Planet to the groovy tunes of Odesza and Gramatik, Electric Forest has something for every electronic music fan. There are some awesome jam bands in there too! The legendary String Cheese Incident, Lettuce and Twiddle are just a few on the list. Tickets already sold out for Electric Forest; we hope you grabbed yours in time!

#1 Shaky Knees – May 3rd – May 5th – Atlanta, Georgia

There is no denying the absolute monster of a lineup that Shaky Knees released for 2019. Loaded with some of modern music’s greatest acts, this festival lineup is a celebration of alternative rock in the best way possible. Booking Tame Impala was enough to get me ecstatic and wildly excited. Add in Incubus, Beck, and Cage the Elephant, and you have one of the strongest top lines in recent memory. The list of spectacular artists goes from top to bottom. Father John Misty, Tears for Fears, Tash Sultana, Gary Clark Jr, Devon Gilfillian, Ruen Brothers, and Grouplove, all at one festival? Are you kidding me? Shaky Knees absolutely knocked it out of the park this year and set the bar extremely high. This is not only the best festival lineup of 2019 but maybe one of the best in the past five years.
