Aqueous Goes West with BIG Something in 2019
Buffalo-based powerhouse Aqueous is teaming up with fellow East Coasters North Carolina-based BIG Something for a co-headlining Winter Tour to kick off 2019. The tour will begin in the Midwest on February 7th in Bloomington, Indiana, at The Bluebird before heading to Missouri for two shows in Columbia at the Rose Music Hall on Feb 8th and in Kansas City at Knuckleheads on Feb 9th. From there the bands will play five shows in as many days in Colorado with stops in Durango at Animals City Theatre Feb 13th, Avon at Agave on Feb 14th, Winter Park at Ullrs Tavern Feb 15th, The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park on Feb 16th, and finally Cervantes’ Masterpiece in Denver on Feb 17th before making their way to the West Coast for a run of eight shows.
The next leg of the tour will be the first time Aqueous plays on the West Coast with stops in Oregon including Wow Hall in Eugene on Feb 20th and the Star Theater in Portland on Feb 21st. The tour will then head to Seattle for a evening at Nectar Lounge on Feb 22nd before heading back to Bend Oregon for one final show at Volcanic Theatre Pub on Feb 23rd. The tour will then head to California with stops at Harlow’s in Sacramento on Feb 26th, The Cornerstone in Berkeley on Feb 27th, Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles on Feb 28th, and Winston’s Beach Club in San Diego on March 1st. The final four shows will see the bands head to Texas for shows at The Parish in Austin on March 6th, Deep Ellum Art Co. in Dallas on March 7th, and the Last Concert Cafe in Houston on March 8th before making their way to New Orleans for the tour closer on March 9th at Parish at House of Blues.
BIG Something fans looking to catch a show: in the meantime, the band is currently working their way through the East Coast with shows in Boston on Dec 20th, Pittsburgh on Dec 21st, and Washington, DC, on Dec 22nd. The band will then make their way to Raleigh for a three-day New Year’s run at Lincoln Theatre with The Mantras on the 29th, The Kind Thieves on the 30th, and Midnight North on New Year’s Eve. The band will then join moe. for their tropical throe.down at Jewel Paradise Cove in Jamaica from Jan 10 – Jan 14th before making their way back stateside to close out their tour with a run of three shows in Ohio and one at the Ardmore Hall in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, before wrapping things up in Richmond with two shows at The Broadberry. Aqueous fans: the band still has a few shows left this year, including Dec 13th at Hi Fi in Indianapolis, Dec 14th at Madison Live in Covington, Kentucky, and on Dec 15th at Woodlands Tavern in Columbus, Ohio, all with support from Goose. The band will then head home to Buffalo for a special VIP-only show at Nietzche’s on Dec 30th before joining forces with Lespecial at Town Ballroom for their NYE show.
