24th Annual Kate Wolf Music Festival Announces Initial Lineup
Music lovers pining for an intimate and chill festival experience need wait no longer. The 24th Annual Kate Wolf Music Festival, to be held June 27-30, has just what the doctor ordered with its initial lineup announcement. Staged on the bucolic grounds of the Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, California, this hidden jewel of a festival will feature headliners The California Honeydrops, Booker T.’s Stax Review, John Hiatt, Jim Messina, and Ruthie Foster.
They’ll be joined by an eclectic mix of artists serving up a delicious smorgasbord of folk, roots music, bluegrass, R&B, soul, jam, and fusion of all sorts. On the menu are Ace of Cups, Las Cafeteras, Old Blind Dogs, Poor Man’s Whiskey, Heather Mae Crys Matthews and The Sing Out Tour, Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer, and Rainbow Girls, with more to be announced.
Begun in 1996 as a one-day festival memorializing legendary North California folk artist Kate Wolf, who died a decade earlier after a battle with leukemia, the event has grown into a yearly celebration of love, sharing, caring and music. This is a family affair with a KidZone and plenty of room to roam and camp under ancient oaks on the Ten Mile portion of the sprawling Black Oak Ranch. Festival-goers can also enjoy an international food court, yoga, a ukulele jam circle, open mic spots and more.
