Stream Two Live Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Shows This Weekend
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, the overnight Baltimore sensation nine years in the making, are loving life right now. This sensational funk quartet has risen to great prominence, as Marc Brownstein of The Disco Biscuits declared on Jam Cruise in January after their two jaw-dropping sets on board. They continued to delight at the Wanee Festival and the Peach Music Festival, to name just two. They threw their ninth annual Domefest in May and just blasted Halloween with their Red Hot Sgt. Pepper’s show. Here is great video courtesy of Roy Loeffler from Wanee:
Scrambled Greg Ormont, Jeremy Schon, Ben Carrey, Alex Petropulos, and Manny Newman have so many events on their calendar you’d need a program to keep it all straight. So… here’s your program!
Their fall tour continues this Friday and Saturday with shows at Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia and rolls on through their New Year’s Run.
But wait! The TLA shows are sold out! But you can still stream both of them, courtesy of Pigeons and The Peach Fest. These live streams are part of the “Peach Music Festival Presents” series. Log in on Facebook to the Pigeons Playing Ping Pong page or on the Peach Music Festival page. Anticipated start for each show is 9:30 EST. The Peach Fest returns to Montage Mountain in Scranton July 25-28.]
December 12-17 they’re off to Mexico for Holidaze with The Disco Biscuits, STS9, Umphrey’s McGee, and Ghost Light.
The PPPP New Year’s run finds them in Nashville and Covington, Kentucky, before dropping the egg in Pittsburgh when The Flock strikes midnight.
The band’s winter tour beginning in January finds the quartet pairing up with The Fritz and then with Mungion.
They co-headline Red Rocks with Twiddle May 2nd.
And Domefest 10 is on Marvin’s Mountain in Masontown WV May 16-18.
And there is much, much more to come. Not a member of The Flock yet? You should be!
