Homecoming Jam in Winston-Salem Tonight!
Tonight’s the night! It’s time for Homecoming Jam in Winston-Salem at the Millennium Center (Friday, November 2nd). Four amazing bands are ready to light up your evening, with a special pre-party patio show by BadCameo kicking off at 6 pm.
Headlining are The Roosevelt Collier Band. Collier just tore it up at Suwannee Hulaween with his band and had a great sit-in with Vulfpeck. Collier is a master of the pedal steel guitar and has a new lap steel that is actually a guitar — very cool. Joining Collier are two titanic players: Matt Lapham, bass; and Anthony AC Cole, drums and vocals.
Joe Marcinek always manages to collect the greatest players to join him in his band. For this show, the guitarist will be joined by Alan Evans (Soulive), drums; Tony Hall (Dumpstaphunk), bass; and Shaun Martin (Snarky Puppy), keyboards.
And two of Winston-Salem’s greatest jams will perform as well.Marvelous Funkshun weave a great mix of blues, funk, psychedelic rock, and jam. Marvelous Funkshun are: Sam Robinson, guitar, vocals; Chris Johnson, pedal steel guitar; Will Bagley, bass; Ranzy Moore, drums; and Michael Kinchen, Hammond B3 organ, synthesizers.
RKIII brings you great livetronica, with Jonathan Greene, drums; Russell Kelly, guitar; and John Ray, bass.
