Riptide Music Festival is Returning to Fort Lauderdale!

One of the largest, non-electronic music festivals is returning to south Florida this year. Fort Lauderdale Beach will host the festival again, with all the sand and palm trees your heart may desire. Riptide is run by local radio station 104.3 The Shark. The music festival will take place November 30th – December 2nd this year. With a diverse lineup and tropical paradise as a backdrop, there’s no reason any locals should miss out on this once-a-year celebration. The music starts Friday with The Jacksons headlining. Four other bands will perform that night, including… The Baha Men? I was pretty taken aback after seeing their name; how many times can they play “Who Let the Dogs Out” before the crowd rebels? Either way, I will be at their set, very curious to discover what type of live show they put on.

Saturday is all about alternative rock, and, oh man, is the day packed with some amazing acts! Headliners for Saturday are Panic! At the Disco and Sublime with Rome. For a smaller regional fest, these are some awesome grabs. Take into consideration the rest of the bands playing that day (Robert Delong, Cold War Kids, Young the Giant, Rainbow Kitten Surprise,  Bishop Briggs, Alice Merton & more) and you have one stacked day of music.

Sunday has an amazing mix of ’90s rock legends. From Live to Third Eye Blind and 311 and Everclear; there’s plenty of awesome music happening throughout the day. Beyond music, there is a lot more going on at The Riptide Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale. You’ll find a wine garden, free giveaways, a sports oasis where one might be able to see an arrow quiver along with other equipment, and even live art. Tickets are on sale now; get them while you still can! Check out the full lineup below!
